When we talk about felt, we refer to that thin layer 1-2 cm thick that forms in the surface area where the grass is. This mass is formed by the remains of roots, earth, and leaves accumulated in the area.
If scarification is not carried out, the lawn suffers because it prevents the proliferation of water roots, air, and fertilizer. Also, the development of fungi is more likely.
It is important to note that the aeration process is not as effective as the scarification process. With the first method, the soil is oxygenated to a depth of around 10 cm, but only the filter breaks a little.

After knowing the importance of scarifying the lawn, it is time to talk about the best time to do it and its keys. Spring is usually the most recommended time, but in autumn, it is essential to carry out another scarification because many filters are formed.
In the case of aerated space, you can space more in time by doing one every 2-3 years approximately.
